One of many projects helmed by Swedish keyboard ace Richard Andersson, Space Odyssey as well consists of vocaliser Patrik Johansson (Astral Doors), guitar player Magnus Nilsson (Talisman), bassist Marcel Jacob (ex-Rising Force), and drummer Zoltan Csorsz (the Flower Kings). Confusingly, Space Odyssey's debut album, 2004's Embrace the Galaxy, seldom bothers itself with anything scientific or space related to, only rather features ultra-technical neoclassic heavy metal in the figure of speech of Yngwie Malmsteen's Rising Force.
